Here is the info about the book again. I'm glad it intrigued you!

"Big Chief Elizabeth" by Giles Milton, ISBN 0-374-26501-1. (With the
ISBN, your chosen bookseller can locate the book easier than with the
publisher's name.)

When you lose something that was sent to this list, it's possible to
retrieve it once it's published in the archives. Just go to
http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl and enter the list
name (PENNINGTON) and the year, and the search term (I'd suggest
"Roanoke" for this one, since it's a word that isn't often mentioned
on this list).
