Linda,

I do indeed show a Wayne Pennington as a descendant of Rencenvey
Pennington (b 1812 VA) and Dorcas Whitecotton. I also show that this
Wayne was born about 1848 and died Feb. 1913. I don't have much more on
specifics as I'm not researching this line,

Ric Blake has done extensive research on this line and if he isn't able
to respond soon, maybe someone else who's active with this line can give
you more.

As far as wayne Pennington and Virginia Smith, I can't confirm that
connection to the line of Rencenvey Pennington.
