Thanks for the info.

My G Gfather came from Holbeach Lincs. He was bn 1832. Left home as a young
lad and joined the army. Was in Crimea, India and and finally still in the
army came to N.Z, on the Star Queen landing in New Plymouth Jan 1861.
Married Hannah Rundle 18.6. 1861. Left the army 1867. Doesnt look
like we are closely connected. But who knows what research might find.
A Pennington reunion was organised about a yr ago. A large number of
descendants in the 140 yrs.
Sorry to be slow in reply to yours, but sometimes family commitments need
attending to.
