Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure on the Hessian soldier bit. I know he served in the Rev.
War. I have written for military records without result however, Jacob
Cope's father was Adam Cope who married __ Haskell and Adam's father was
Joost Coope. Joost was a Palatine and arrived in Philadelphia 2 Oct 1727
according to THIRTY THOUSAND NAMES OF GERMAN, SWISS, DUTCH, FRENCH AND
OTHER IMMIGRANTS IN PENNSYLVANIA FROM 1727 TO 1776. It was interesting to
note that one Jacob Leidy was on the same ship with Joost Coope. Jacob
Cope and his first wife divorced and Jacob Cope then married the widow of
a Jacob Leidy who was killed in the Rev. War. This had to be a
grandson.

How does one get on the Hessian list and/or who is John and what is the
HETRINA?
Lots of questions as always.
