Seeking to establish generations following Caspar Bleiler. He was born
in Switzerland about 1688, and arrived at the port of Philadelphia May
29, 1735, aboard the Ship Mercury, and appears to have settled in Bucks
County. He had three children Hans Jacob, Hans Heinrich and Catherine.
Hans Heinrich moved south to the Carolinas and is well documented. Jacob
seems to have been the ancestor of all present day Bleiler/Plyler who
reside in Pennsylvania, but can not be documented. Based on this theory,
his Great (or great-great) grandson Daniel migrated to Jefferson County
about 1842.
