I am stumped! I have been searching everywhere for my maternal ancestors. I am beginning to think that they (there records) have washed off of the face of this earth!

I am searching for KATANCHICK, Paul - this is my grandfathers name. He had two brothers (John & Jack) and one sister, Nancy. I know he lived around this area because that is where he met my grandmother. He came from Austria, without his parents and other siblings. It was also passed down that the family was well to do in Austria, possibly royalty, but who knows. This is all that I have. I also realize the name may be spelled differently.

I am also seaching for IGNASIAK, Stephania (Stella), my grandmother's madian name. She had one sister (Jane) and one brother (Edward). They were all born here in PA. I beleive either New Kennsignton or Arnold, PA. Their mother's name was Salomea KLABAUCH or (CLAYBAUCH) or (KLAUBACH) or some variation.

I know that my great grandmother cam from Poland with several brothers and sister, but no parents. I know she went to work for some cousins in Philly as a governess, met her husband (Stephan IGNASIAK) and moved to New Kennsington or Arnold. My grandmother was the oldest, being born in 1916, so she must have gotten married a year or two before, and I believe she emigrated here between 1900 and 1912.

If this some familiar to anyone, or anyone has any information, PLEASE contact me.

Thanks,

Stacey Kramer
