I have searched many places for my maternal ancestors. AlI that I have to go on is basically the name.

KATANCHICK, Paul was my grandfather and he had two brothers, Jack and John and a sister Nancy. He came from somewhere in Austria to Pennsylvania. I am not sure what part, other than he lived in the New Kennsington area which is near Pittsburg. I have found Paul KATANCHICK in the SSDI, but that is all.

IGNASIAK is my grandmothers, Stella (Staphania) madien name. She had one sister, Jane and a brother, Edward. Their mothers name was Salomea (Sally) KLABAUCH or KLAYBACH (not sure) and their father was Stephan. My grandmother's family also lived in the New Kennsington area and she moved to Texas and her sister stayed in New Kennsington. My great grandmother came to America via Philadelphia somewhere between 1900 and 1910. She was a "governess" or nanny to her cousins family for awhile. She met her husband and they moved to outside of Pittsburg (New Kennsington) where she remained until her death. In the SSDI, I have found Salomea and Edward IGNASIAK and that is all that I can come up with.
