Subject: [PA] Fw: need help on census info

I asked on PA census list, and no one responded, I am hoping someone can help me here.
Anyone have any ideas??

I am trying to do a lookup for someone. She has a marriage record for 1872 Parkers Landing, PA.
This has me really stumped, it's become a puzzle I need an answer for now, LOL.
If I search for Parkers Landing, I get no response, yet I can see it on an 1872 map in the upper arm of Armstrong County that lies in between Butler Co. and Clarion Co.
I found another map PA 1876, that lists it in Hovey Twnsp. (which is the tip top of the arm of Armstrong County), Parker City- Parkers Landing P.O.
I have been through each township in, around, or close by, in each county, Butler, Armstrong, and Clarion. I do not find Parkers landing in the census till 1900, and I have not found either Surname she has given me, in any of the County, Townships I've searched. 1870, 1880, 1900. I feel like I am missing some key information.
I would 1- like to know if anyone can tell me when 'Hovey' became a County, 2-possibly what it was included in before, 3-or if anyone has any other ideas to look into.
I've been at this 2 weeks now, and I'm at a loss now.
Any help is very much appreciated.
