Hi, wow, thanks so much for writing. Unfortunately you're back further than I
am. I'm stuck with my 4th great grandfather, Jacob CHRISTMAN. I think I found
his birth/baptism at Mertz Church in Dryville, but that info is packed away
right now and I can't get to it. Because I wasn't sure I didn't enter it into
my computer. Plus I think I found his wife's family as well.
Recently I was at the Berks Co. Genealogical Society and found some info on
other surnames I'm working on. I checked out CHRISTMAN and found info on
people I don't know or recognize. I decided to start entering all CHRISTMAN
info into my data base so hopefully I'll find a connection. At the bottom of
this letter is my Jacob CHRISTMAN's family and all the CHRISTMAN's in my data
base and what info I have on them. My Jacob's family is included on that
list. I'll also post to rootsweb. Sorry to those seeing this more than once.
Some of the names you gave me appear to be in my data base. Is it possible to
get more info on them or anyone else in your data base. It will help me to
eliminate people in my direct line. But I also wouldn't mind having cousins
to my direct line!
As you can see my CHRISTMAN married Israel FOOSE. Their daughter, Hettie
(could be Esther) married Joshua M CONRAD. His son James Benjamin CONRAD md
Eva Victoria BATZ and they had my grandmother Estella M CONRAD. They all
lived in the Fleetwood/Ruscombmanor Twp/Muhlenberg Twp areas.
So there were 3 CHRISTMAN lines that came to Berks Co., INTERESTING! So which
is my line?! Since you've been keeping a data base of CHRISTMAN's maybe my
family seems familiar to you???? If you can help me out or give me info on
the ones in your data base and family I'd appreciate it so much. THANKS so
much for writing to me on the CHRISTMAN family. Hopefully we'll find a
connection between your family and mine!
As for BABB, someone once wrote to me giving me info on my GILBERT family and
I think there were BABB's in there. Again I don't have that info handy. Plus
I don't remember who it is that sent it to me. Hopefully they read this
because I wanted to say THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for that wonderful info on
the GILBERT family you sent to me.
I think it's great we all try to help each other out!! Keep up the great work
