I know we are all unique and there for "famous", in our own ways! BUT, since
there is "chat" about presidents, lately, I was wondering...
My Mother-in-law's family has some "stories", I haven't been able to
either prove or disprove.
One of the stories states that her family can be traced back to
President John Q. Adams.
She says her Grandmother could "retell" the line fro J.Q. Adams, but it was
never written down that she is aware of. the other story is about her family
being relatedto New York's "infamous" Mayor James "Jimmy" Walker. This is
the families involved:
Daniel WEIST HAAS
b. feb 1848, Mockadunky, Schugkill Co., PA.
Married: 29 Aug. 1871, Philadelphia, PA.
Frances PIERCE WALKER,(who is the link to the ADAMS family and Mayor
Walker).
B. Baltimore, MD.
Their daughter:
Florence O'NEAL HAAS
b. Oct. 1871/72, in Philadelphia, PA.( the one who could recite the ADAMS
lineage).
Married:23 Dec. 1889/90, in Denver, CO.
Hiram Albert NICKLES
b. Oct. 1868, in Orestown or Pottstown, PA.
This is all the information I have on these people. Any and all Ideas, are
welcome!

Hi Hank
I have looked at that census and I can't decipher the names either--too
bad--everything else is fairly good. I am descended from the Deems line.
Could Deemer have evolved from Deems? Marilyn
