Just saw your PENNY post.

I have been looking for a connection for my two PENNY women who died
in Mercer Co., KY for quite awhile.

Lucy PENNY, b. 1788 in VA, according to grave marker her father is J.
PENNY and mother S. PENNY. Lucy married Phillip Dedman in 1812 and
died in Mercer Co., KY in 1863.

Mary PENNY, b. 1783 in VA, according to marriage info her father is
John PENNY. Mary married James Coleman in 1799. The married couple
lived in Mercer Co., KY. These two PENNY women could easily be
sisters since both the Dedman and Coleman families had much
interaction.

It seems likely there is a connection between your John PENNY and mine
since both involve Mercer Co.
