Dear PERRY listers,
I've just received the W32.BADTRANS virus in attachments to e-mails from
"Francene Jones" <> which purport to be responses to
messages posted on PERRY-L. I don't know if "Francene" really exists or is
a list member. When I sent her a message telling her I believed her
computer to be infected, I received a response within a few minutes which
also included this virus, or worm. I know the List Server filters out
attachments, but it has been observed that this malevolent worm likes to
grab hold of e-mails in your inbox or addresses in your address book and
send messages to them which include a deadly attachments. A word to the
wise should be sufficient!

Fortunately, I have anti-virus software installed, so I'm in good shape.
