I see some discussion about Taymouth, I spent a week in June on the grounds of
Taymouth castle, and brought back a tiny bit of information. Hope this might
help someone......................

Young Gregor of Glenstae became a ward of Campbells and placed with Duncan Roy,
laird of Glenlyon, He mrried the daughter Campbell
Sir Colin Campbell obtained a commission to execute Gregor Roy
Gregor Roy was beheaded in kenmore in 1570
Gregor Roys ' son Alasdair was 3 then, later hung in 1604 in Edinburgh
MacGregors then forced to adopt other names

Margaret Campbell m. Duncan Glas who was recognised as the leader of the
MacGregor clan
