I just recently found new siblings to my ggrandfather JOHN GARVEN
family #1 BRIDGET or MARGARET MAILEY born about 1851 in
county mayo ireland on the 1881 census she is listed as living at
82 south street and a widow with two children SARAH (bn.1870 )
and MARY ELLEN (bn.1879 ) her mother MARGARET GARVEN (kean ) died here in 1885

family #2 CATHERINE GALLACHER born 1859 in perth, married to a ALEXANDER GALLACHER with two children , MARY ANN (bn.1873 )
and MARGARET (bn. 1880 ) this family at the time of the 1881 census was living at #50 the meal vennel . her father MARTIN GARVEN died here in 1882

family #3 THOMAS GARVEN born about1847 in county mayo living at 103 south street at the time of the 1881 census

I have used the modern day spelling of garven but on many documents it has been spelled many ways eg. census GARVIE,GAVAN but not garven or garvin IGI GIRVAN trade directories GAVAN,GARIVAN
if any fellow lister might have a connection to any of these familyies please contact me........john garven
