I was interested in the profession of watchmakers. Was this an area
known for watchmakers. I have a relative born in 1843 in Scotland
(don't know where) who listed his occupation as a watchmaker. I had
assumed he must have come from a more populated area until I saw your
message. Does anyone know anything about this occupation during this
period of time?
