Hello Wayne,

I searched the Perthshire board for 'Baptist', choosing a time period of
'several eons'. Yours was the only query which came up.

Your surnames don't jibe with mine, but the circumstances might. I'm wondering
if people emigrated from Perthshire BECAUSE they were Baptist? Any thoughts
on that?

Do you know where in the county your people came from? My MacDougalls were
from the North Shore of Loch Tay (Kenmore Parish) and the wife of one of
them was from Crieff just west of Perth. There were 3 MacDougall brothers
who came to Ontario in 1815, 1817 and about 1830.
