My ancestor John McRobbie came from Crieff, Perthshire in 1820 and was
probably neighbors and associated with the Drummonds. A historical writing
mentions that the " McRobbies of Balloch are a sept of the Robertsons,
Sneschels of the Earls of Drummond, and Runners for the Duke of Perth." Do
you know what Sneschels were? I hope it was something noble and helpful.
