Culross is both a town and parish. The town lies on the banks of the
River Forth in Fife.
The reason for the confusion is that the parish came under the control
of the church diocese of Perth - even though geographically and
politically it lay in Fife - and quite separate from "The County of
Perth".
Having said that it would be worth checking both Fife and Perthshire
records - see:
