Hello Maryjane!

With great interest I read of your reference to a Pettingell Genealogy Book. Please tell me more.

Rebecca Pettingell (my 3rd-great grandmother) was born 24 Nov 1799 in Bowdoin, Maine. She married Charles LaBree 22 July 1821 in Litchfield, Maine. Eight children were born to the couple. Charles died 25 April 1871 in Sangerville, Maine. Rebecca died 26 April 1875 also in Sangerville.

Rebecca Pettingell was the daughter of Jacob Pettingell and Elizabeth (Betsey) Potter. Her parents also died in Sangerville, Maine.

What can you tell me about Rebecca's family and are the parents of Elizabeth (Betsey) Potter stated in the Pettingell Book?
