My paternal grandfather was Wladyslaw Krawczyk. He immigrated to the United
States on May 11, 1906 on the vessel Furnessia to the port of New York. He
was born in Wola Gorynska, which is near Radom, on December 1, 1887, and
died in 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents were Jozef Krawczyk (born
abt. 1837, died 1911 in Poland) and Franciszka Bieniek (born August 04,
1848, died 1945).
Jozef and Franciszka's other children were Wawrzeniec (b. 1877), Wiktorya
(b. 1875), Gabriel (b. 1871), Josephine (b. 1874), Ludwig (b. 1882),
Franciszka, and Tekla (b. 1885).
Jozef and Franciszka stayed in Poland, and I believe they were mostly in the
Goryn, Radom area, and could have been in Choloby, or Babian. They may
have later lived in Luck, Poland which is now Lutsk, Ukraine.
Jozef's parents were: Andrzej KRAWCZYK (b. abt. 1840, d. aft. 1912), and
Agnieszka (no last name known or any other facts.
Franciszka Bieniek's parents were Wojciech BIENIEK and Maryanna SRODOWSKI.
Wladyslaw's sister Josephine (Jozefa) was born Mar 16, 1903, and was married
to Frank Kolodzieczyk.
If there is another member tracing either Krawczyk or Kolodzieczyk, I would
like to contact them.
