Just wanted to let folks know that yet another virus has emerged - this
virus comes with the subject ILOVEYOU and an has an attachment named
LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs. We became aware of it this morning when it
was sent out via the electronic mail list for our automated library
system at Morehead State University, though no computers appear to have
been infected in the Library. It apparently targets Microsoft Outlook
and as I understand it even opening the message in Outlook can execute
the worm program unless it is set otherwise (glad that I use Netscape).
As with the Melissa worm, it replicates itself using Outlook's address
book to send itself out, and also corrupts Internet Explorer and
modifies the registry.

Remember - always exercise caution when opening attachments. If using
outlook, make sure that it is not set to automatically open attachments.
Delete suspicious email messages.
