Has anyone come across a Robert Phillips married to Jane (Mills?).
Supposedly Robert Phillips was from Londonderry and emigrated to LaPrairie,
Quebec about 1820. Their daughter, Jane, may have been born in Ireland in
1819-1821 and their daughter, Eliza, may have been born in Canada around
1828. Robert was an Innkeeper in LaPrairie up until the mid to late 1850's
and his widow took over the Inn following his death around 1863. Daughter
Jane married James Wait, b. North Berwick, Scotland 15 June 1869 in
LaPrairie. James and Jane then emigrated to Mineville, New York in 1850.
Any leads would be helpful.
