Hi! Interesting discussion. All my life I've pronounced Bala Cynwyd as
Bala Kinwid, just as Philly TV newscasters do. And it rolls off the
tongue the same way "ballerina" does.
A question about the Morgans.......Does anyone have knowledge of a Mary
Evans Morgan? She married a John Pennell (born c.1675) in 1703. John is
the son of Joshua & Mary (Somers) Pennell. John & Mary's children were
listed as marrying in the Chichester, Newtown or Concord Meetings around
Philadelphia between 1727 & 1740, so I assume Mary has some relationship to
the Morgan family being discussed.
Thanks for any help. Once I get the infinite branches of the Pennells
nailed down, I'm going to consider myself a master detective. I always
knew boys outnumbered girls in this family - my mother-in-law shed tears
of joy at finally having a granddaughter & there's only one
gr-granddaughter - but I'm amazed at how prolific those guys were.
