Hello folks. I am new to this but thought I would try it based on other
postings of other queries. I am looking for further information on my great-
great grandfather Wilhelm R. Hildebrand. He was born August 23, 1834 in
Breslau Germany (now Poland). He immigrated to Philadelphia on July 24, 1855.
He was in the 75th PA infantry in the Civil War, rising to Sgt Major in 1864.
He married Christana Margaretta Aschenbach on September 28, 1865. They owned
a bakery at 1101 Vine St which I am led to believe was on the corner of 11th &
Vine Sts. They had seven children: (1) Charles C. born 1866; (2) Emma born
1868; (3) William Robert born 1870; (4) Harry born in 1873; (5) Christian born
1875; (6) George born 1879; and (7) Matilda born 1883.

What I am looking for is further information on his death. I only have 1908
as his death. He is possibly buried in Cathedral Cemetary over off of 48th
St. near the zoo. If anyone has any information on Wilhelm or any of his
children, I would GREATLY appreciate it!
