Hi, everyone,
Two books that I recently reread might be of interest to you all.
Seder, Jean, Voices of Kensington: Vanishing Mills, Vanishing
Neighborhoods, 1990.
This is an oral history of the Kensington area.
Infield, Tom, 50 Years After the War: The People Who Were There
Recall the Major Events of World War II, 1996.
This book is a compilation of articles written for the Inquirer
marking the 50th anniversary of WWII. Most of the events feature
people who lived in Philadelphia or the surrounding areas of PA and
NJ.
Both are still in print - I checked the Amazon Books web site. I've
also seen them in bookstores in the Philadelphia area.
