People react to life in different ways, but however you look at it, it is
interesting. Can someone tell me if Dauphin or Dauphine St. is still there.
Also, is there still a church standing at 28th and Susquehanna? When my
husband's grandfather went there it was an Episcopal church, and it had just
been built..1881. It was called St. John Chrystosom. Understand it was sold
to another congregation in 1953. Also, near it was a Glenwood Cemetary, where
several relatives were buried. I recently found it was moved in 1923 to
Bloomall, just outside Phil. and now called New Glenwood Cemetery. Wondered
if that was the Cemetery someone ws looking for the other day, with a
description about "going up a hill" and Franklin St. While I'm at it, does
anyone have a Rouleau surname in the family? Grandfather ws Joseph, m.
Elizabeth Bader in 1877. Brother Francis,m. Elizabeth, aka Lizzie. Francis
stayed there, and had children, Franklin, Laura, Albert, Howard, ...there's
another one or two, but don't recall names right now. Wonder if any
descendents still around? Joseph moved to Ill. and I know what happened to
him and all his family. Joseph was anorgan builder and supposedly built an
organ for a church involved in 1876 centennial celebration., If anyone has
any newpaper clues to happenings of that time, would like to hear them.
