Seeking info. on the family of MARGARET BOYER of PA, born about 1776. She
was the daughter of ROBERT BOYER and ANNE (possibly SMITH) BOYER.
Margaret married PETER BOWMAN, of PA, and they had a daughter ANNE SMITH
BOWMAN, born in 1799 in D.C. I don't know why they moved there but I also
located this family in the 1800 D.C. census.
The Bowmans and Boyers could have been residents of Philadelphia. Peter and
Margaret (Boyer) Bowman may have been involved with the move of our national
capitol from Philadelphia to D.C. around 1800.
