Hi Everyone,
I really need some help with my HILL line.
My Great Grandfather's records that I received from the Spokane Tribe of
Indians, states:
John Hill b. 1844 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Father: Frank W. Hill
Mother: Florence Martin
Brothers: George and Thomas
According to the records he attended school 13 years in Philadelphia.
He married my Great Grandmother Ellen Flett b. 1858 (Washington Territory)
in 1877.
They lived near Stevens County, Washington and raised 10 children.
Ellen was Native American, therefore I received the Information from land
records. John Hill was adopted to the Tribe 1907 and given land.
I know very little about him or his parents. Some relatives said he fought in
the Civil War under his mother's maiden name Martin.
I find it strange that he stated he attended school for 13 years, and I can
not find any records on him except from the Tribal Records.
Is there anyone out there that could help me?

Thank you
Linda Matherly Cahill
