Hi, Kate,
Was glad to see your message.
What do you know about your Joseph HAYES? Perhaps Josef? Have you checked
the 1880 Census?--I think I wrote down some Josephs. I copied the HAYES
entries a few years before I discovered the name Charles.
What I know about my HAYES Stack is laid out here. I did find a 1992 note I
made that said Frank's parents were both killed in a train wreck (from one
of the older daughters). I'm going to check that lead the best I can. I've
always "sensed" a railroad connection for some reason.
I don't know how much you've done on your search, but perhaps we can try to
piece together information each of us has until we find we connect or
don't. I can assure you that the material is not going to come easily.
Keep in touch,
Judith
