For those of you who are new to this list (and even for oldtimers who might
not be aware or have forgotten), you can search for mention of the surnames
you're researching in past postings for PHILLY-ROOTS and also on the Philly
Queries site.

PHILLY-ROOTS Archives of postings -- http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-
bin/listsearch.pl (through which you can access the archives of all rootsweb
lists). Type in PHILLY-ROOTS-L as the list you want to search. On the next
window, select the time period of postings that you want to search (you can go
back and search other time periods later), and then type in the surname (or
cemetery, church, neighborhood, subject, etc.) you're searching. A list of
results will come up -- to read one, click on "full message" under it.
