Dear Diane,
Just came across this in one of my binders.

Information from the card file of the Chester County Historical Society,
Pennsylvania.(July 1997)
ROOKE--In West Vincent township, Chester County on the 14th instant,
Rebecca, wife of Robert Rooke, in the 76th year of her age. ( August 21,
1880)

Local News -- Died. --By reference to our mortuary column will be seen
an announcement of the death of Mrs. Robert Rooke, of West Vincent
township. She was a very estimable lady, well known and highly
respected. Her funeral takes place on Wednesday, and will no doubt be
largely attended by her numerous friends and relations. (August 16,
1880)

A Large Funeral. -- The funeral of Mrs. Rebecca Rook, West Vincent, was
one of the largest ever seen in that section of the country. Nearly 200
carriages were in line, and over one hour was consumed in getting them
unloaded. St. Matthews Lutheran church was literally packed, both the
main and Sunday-school rooms, which are so arranged that both can be
turned into one room. thihs is the first time since the church was built
that it has been necessary to do this. (August 19, 1880)

Enjoy,
Jana Rooke
