HI LEW,
I don't know if this helps, but...most of the 61st was recruited in
Pittsburgh, with the exceptions of Companies G, H & I which were recruited in
Philly. The 61st was first moved to Washington on March 1,1862, after the
death of your WALKER. This info comes from the book "Phila. in The Civil War"
by Frank Taylor.
Phila National isn't a very large cemetery & I'm not sure where records
are kept.
