That happens frequently because people change their e-mail providers,
especially now that broadband DSL and cable connections are more widely
available. If the person's name appeared as part of their old e-mail address
or if they put their name at the end of the e-mail, and if it is an uncommon
name and the person is still posting to PHILLY-ROOTS, searching that name in
the more recent postings could bring up a posting made under their current
e-mail address. Also, you could try looking for them in one of the online
phonebooks that contain e-mail addresses (http://www.infospace.com is one).
