Curious about your KNECHTEL. I have a Henry KNECHT 1850 with Mary Engard
listed. She could be his mother-in-law.

Any thoughts? Any connection?

Good evening listers.

I found an entry for a relative, Alfred Knechtel, in 1898 that gives his
address as 2041 5th Street in Philadelphia, PA

Could someone possibly look in a 1900 directory to see if Alfred Knechtel is
listed in there? This one allusive brother may have remained in Philly
rather than migrating to Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas as the rest of
his family did. His occupation was a tinsmith and he would have been about
28 at the time of the federal census.
