Subject: [PHILLY-ROOTS-L] 1900 Census Mary Elizabeth Ayres MAZURIE
Date: Sat, 01 Jun 2002 21:16:10 -0700

There may be a Paul Ayres MAZURIE as one of Mary's children, but it is
not certain. Although her husband, James Victor MAZURIE is buried at
Mount Peace Cemetery, it is not certain absolutely that they were
living in Philadelphia when he died, etc. But I have nothing else to
go on in that regard, hence the 1900 Philadelphia Census request.

If Paul A is hers, he would have been about 12 in the census, and
Mary would have been about 53. James had died in 1890. The family
descendants wound up in the mid-west, e.g. Ohio, Indiana, and even
so far west as California. Oddly enough, the middle name AYRES
appears down to this time, I believe.

Can someone look for the remnant's of James' family in Philadelphia
for 1900 in the census, please? No children would be 10 or under.

Vince
