I wrote to the library by email and asked them if it was true I only
needed to send $1 for an obit (sounded too good to be true LOL!) Here
is what I got and I figured I would share ...............

Dear Lisa Burger:

True enough. Our policy is that we will search two newspapers for a period
of five days for each person listed. We need an exact date of death or
burial (day/month/year). We limit each request to two persons. Our fee is
.50 cents a page, $1.00 minimum, and we send a bill along with the
photocopies of the obituary/death notice.
