Subject: [PHLY-RTS] Update Re: New location of LDS Philadelphia FHC
Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2004 10:37:38 EST
Hello again Everyone,
The address for the new LDS Family History Center I wrote in my last post was
incorrect. Below is the correct and updated information concerning the new
location of the Philadelphia FHC:
The Philadelphia LDS Family History Center is located at
2072 Red Lion Road
Philadelphia PA., 19116
215-329-3692 (the same phone number)
Beginning Tuesday 17 February 2004 the hours will be:
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays- 9 AM until 2 PM
Wednesday evenings- 6-9 PM
The new director of the Philadelphia Family History Center is Jim Savage, who
has been on staff at the old location so many of you may know Jim already.
The Church and FHC is located in the far northeast part of the city between
Bustleton Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, and sits just next to the American
Heritage Federal Credit Union Building.
A note though if you are traveling to the FHC from the direction of Roosevelt
Boulevard-
You cannot turn left into the entrance of the FHC due to a median strip in
the center of the road. If you are coming to the FHC from Roosevelt Boulevard
you would need to go to the next traffic light and make a u-turn.
The Philadelphia LDS Family History Center information can be found at my
site-

where you can also view the microfilms and fiche on permanent loan, and the
other resources the LDS so generously makes available to us for our
genealogical research.
Regards, and best wishes for successful ancestor hunting!
