That address is very close, just a few short blocks, from the corner of Washington Lane and Germantown Ave. Located on that corner was a very prominent, and the first, funeral director in Philadelphia...Kirk & Nice. I would bet that they handled the funeral and their records are available, I'm told, at either HSP or GSP; not sure which. Kirk and Nice is still in business but they have moved to an outlying location. You should be able to find them in the yellow pages.
