You have what is called a "Catch 22" but I think this might work. MAYBE
because some years have gone by
Around 1900 or before an gt Uncle John went into the Civil War under he's
mothers maiden name O'Brien but to collect a pension from the Government for
being in the Civil War John had to prove he was John Mc Gady and not the last
name O'Brien.
So a picture was shown to all the people John know and the neighbors along
with friends agreed that the person in the photo was McGady and he's last name
wasn't O'Brien
Letters were written to the government from those who saw the picture of
John Mc Gady and the letter I think were also Notarized
How about her brothers, sisters or nieces of nephews for proof of name and
being of the same person?
How about the death certificate that will also have her maiden name on it
and birth? I would get both
But also if Purdential contacted you that means someone tried to cash the
policy in this is how the whole ball started to roll
