My great, great grandfather also came from Alsace around 1800 on the 'Olive Branch'. From New York he went to Ohio? Then it seems he settled in Nashville. Since he was a copper staying near a port area brought employment. I know about his daughter (my great grandmother) but nothing about him. Thought I'd pass this on to you since they came from the same area.
