The last major Irish PIGOTT line connected with Dysart - PIGOTT of Capard.

Thomas PIGOTT, b around 1605-10, eld son of Sir Robert PIGOTT of
Dysart by his 2nd wife Thomasine CASTILLION alias PEYTON; granted
Corbally alias Corolly, Queen's Co, by Patent dated 6 Dec 1639;
appears to have inherited Capard, same County, on his father's death,
ca 1643; of Capard & Cloncannon, "Census" of 1659; named in the Marr
Setts of his son Robert, 1679; died intestate, 1685, adm'on granted
30 Aug 1686; marr, poss to a Miss LOFTUS; her Funeral Entry Indexed,
1681, as "...spouse of Mr PIGOTT..." [Gen Office, Dublin - actual
entry not found]; issue:
1. Robert PIGOTT; of Capard & Corbally; died 1706, s.p.; marr by
Setts dated 26 Feb 1676 (& cited in later Deeds), Margaret, daur of
Sir Thomas SOUTHWELL, of Castle Matras, Co Limerick; she died 1717,
having marr 2ndly Thomas FITZGERALD, of Co Lim.
2. Chidley PIGOTT; of Caprd & Corbally; named in brother Robert's
Marr Setts, 1676; died 1718, unmarr & s.p.

William PIGOTT, 2nd son of Sir Robert PIGOTT of Dysart & his 2nd wife
Thomasin CASTILLION alias PEYTON; details already advised by previous
e-mail; issue:
1. John PIGOTT, b ca 1650; of Kilminshy, Co Limerick; adm Middle
Temple, 20 Aug 1670; J.P. for Co Lim, Feb 1674; called to the Bar,
May 1687; of the City of Dublin, 1713; died 8 May 1717, & bur St
Paul's Dublin (M.I.); will dated 18 Feb 1716, pr P.C.C., 2 Aug 1717,
& P.C.I., 7 Jan 1718; marr 1stly, Gertrude, daur of Thomas SOUTHWELL,
1st Bart of Castle Matras, Co Lim, by Elizabeth STARKEY; Gertrude
died at Kilfinney, 28 May 1683, & bur Ballinakill Churh, near
Kilfinney (M.I. - badly shattered when I visited in 2004, but 85%
fragments able to be re-assembled), with 4 of her children; issue
surviving (see below); John poss marr 2ndly, St Dunstan-in-the-West,
London, 4 Oct 1686, Elizabeth CREW (? perhaps instead CAREW); John
marr again, poss 3rdly, St James's, Westminster, 27 Jun 1696,
Margaret, widow of Robert LEIGH of Rosegarland, Co Wexford, & daur of
Sir Caesar COLCLOUGH, 2nd Bart of Tinterne, Co Wexford; no further issue.
2. Elizabeth, b Kilfinney; named as "...only sister..." in John
PIGOTT's will, Feb 1716; marr Alexander FITZGERALD, of Woodhouse, Co
Waterford (son of Thomas FITZGERALD by Elizabeth PIGOTT of Dysart); issue:
i. Dudley FITZGERALD, of Ballydavis; d 1761; marr Anne, daur of
Martin DELANEY of Ballyfin; issue.
ii. Colclough; will pr 1757; marr Anna (-?-); she d 1769; issue.
iii. Sibella.
3. Martha, b Kilfinney, ca 1663 (I.G.I., but poss earlier); prob
died before her brother John made his will, Feb 1716; marr William
STAMER, of Carnelly, Co Clare, Lt-Col in the Army; issue - a son
George STAMER, Colonel in the Army; marr with issue.


John PIGOTT, of Kilfinney, Co Limerick, & Margaret SOUTHWELL, had issue:
1. William PIGOTT, eldest son; adm Middle Temple, 1700; d.v.p.,
before Feb 1716; marr Jane, daur of Sir John BROOKES, Bart of York &
London, by Mary WALLER (daur of Hardess WALLER); issue:
i. John PIGOTT; named in grandfather's will, as his heir, Feb
1716; died 1718, s.p.
ii. William; named in grandafther's will, 1716; died 1718, s.p.
2. John; d.s.p., & bur at Ballinakill Church, near Kilfinney (M.I.).
3. Robert; ditto.
4. Richard; ditto.
5. Anne; ditto
6. Southwell; eld surviving son; named in his father's will, Feb
1716, as Captain in the Army; succeeded his nephews to Capard, 1718;
marr with issue. See next below.
7. Elizabeth, eldest surviving daur; a widow when named in her
father's will, Feb 1716; died Dublin, 12 Sep 1732; marr, by License
dated 9 Jan 1695, Richard WARBURTON, of Garryhinch, King's Co, M.P.
for Portarlington; issue:
i. Richard WARBURTON, b 6 Dec 1696; of Garryhinch, but lived most
of his life in London; died at his apartments, Jermyn St, 23 Oct
1771, & bur Westminster Abbey; unmarr & s.p.
ii. John; named in Robert PIGOTT of Dysart's will, 1728, as
Captain in the Army; prob died at Glasnevin, 10 May 1743, unmarr.
iii. George; of Dublin, Merchant; High Court of Chancery; marr ca
1729, Jane, daur of Richard Le HUNTE of Artramont, Co Wexford; issue.
iv. Peter; devised Garryhinch, with rents of 3000 pounds a year,
by his brother Richard, 1771; died 29 sep 1784.
v. William; of London; marr Barbara, daur & sole heir of Lytton
LYTTON of Knebworth, Herts; issue.
vi. Gertrude; bequeathed 100 pounds in her grandfather PIGOTT's
will, Feb 1716; marr George CARDEN, of Lismore, Queen's Co; issue -
including Priscilla CARDEN, wife of Thomas PIGOTT of Knapton, Queen's
Co [Co Cork Branch].
vii. Judith; marr, as his 3rd wife, Emanuel PIGOTT of Chetwynd,
Co Cork (grandfather of Thomas of Knapton); issue.
vii. Jane; marr George PIGOTT of Chetwynd, Mountmellick & Knapton
(son of Emanuel & father of Thomas), issue.
8. Jane, youngest daur; named in her father's will, Feb 1716; died
before 1729; marr, as his 1st wife, Sir Henry PIERS, of Tristernagh,
Co Westmeath; he died (of an overdose of opium), 14 Mar 1733, having
marr 2ndly, the daur of Lord Santry; issue:
i. John PIERS; 4th Bart of Templeorum, Co Westmeath; marr his
cousin, Cornelia Gertrude PIGOTT of Capard; issue - a son Sir Pigott
William PIERS, 5th Bart.

iii. Lewis; marr Cecilia LYNCH.
iv. Henry; Merchant in Rotterdam.
