In my excitement and haste to connect with/to the Project, I only mentioned
my descent from Governor John West of Virginia. It is fairly common
knowledge that he descends from the Plantagenet Kings and their offsprings
through both legitimate and illegitimate lines in many different ways. I
failed to mention that I descend from Elizabeth Boteler/Butler who was a 17th
century immigrant to Virginia from Roxwell Parish, Essex, England and who
married another immigrant, Col. William Claiborne, of Crayford Parish, Kent,
England who also came to Virginia. Elizabeth descends from the Plantagenets
through illegitimate offsprings of King Henry I and King Henry II.
