I'll help you out here. This is word for word a quote from: Roderick W.
Stuart,
"Royalty for Commoners," Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc, Baltimore, MD,
3rd
Edition, 1998, Line 430-31/30. That is EXCEPT your learned cousin omitted
something
under Teresa of Castile & Leon, something which causes an immediate
problem. It
actually reads:

"Teresa of Castile & Leon, who inherited the countship of Portugal; b.
c1070; d. 1
Nov 1130; bur at Braga Cathedral; m. 1093 Henry I of Burgundy (85-29)."

You might mention to her that if you're going to quote something, quote it
correctly. The omission of the date of birth for Teresa does not make the
problem go
away--that according to this source she's still one year older than her
supposed
mother! This isn't the only problem this connection suffers from, in fact
it's one
of the lesser ones. If you're genuinely interested in researching the
matter, RFC is
not exactly the top rung of the ladder. It's reputation for errors makes it
a less
than desirable source (this being an example). Again, as Kevin and I both
have
suggested, start with the postings at SGM. Then if you still would like
more proof,
I can provide Portuguese and Spanish sources that will help you resolve the
problem.
One contains quotes from a court document where Teresa's is referring to
her
mother's sister--Gontrode Moniz! Elsewhere she clearly states her mother
was Ximena
Moniz! The spelling of the last name may vary, but it isn't Zaida, who
according to
Bernard F. Reilly, "The Kingdom of Leon-Castilla under King Alfonso VI,
1065-1109,"
Princeton University Press 1988, did change her name to Elizabeth on her
conversion
to Christianity.
