Maud [Lat. "Matilda"] of Scotland [1] was in fact the da. of Malcolm III
"Canmore" ["Big Head"], king of Scotland [2] and St. Margaret [3].
Henry I was one of the most prolific sires of royal bastards in the history
of the crown (I find descents from at least six of these), yet his one
marriage produced only a single legitimate heir, a daughter, Maud the
Empress [4].
