Charlotte, I have answered you off list so I could attach a file - I really did not research this family beyond my own supposed connection, and after I found it not true, I stopped... but the file I sent you should give you some information - it was a paper written in The William & Mary Quarterly. Beyond that, just google the name Sir Edward Digges and I bet you will find 100 or more links...

My grandmother was Maud Hunter Trower
G-Grandmother Lucy Marshall Brounley (Brownlee)
GG-Grandmother Lucy Ann Digges Daughter to Thomas A. Digges
And married to Wm. Marshall Brounley of Mathews Co. VA.

Would like to find Thomas Digges Parents and his Line on back, but am
overwhelmed with possibilities.
