Dear List,

Mary Allyn
Olive Welby

If that Hannah Watkins w/the Kibbe ancestor and a lot of new names from
that one questionable site ever pans out, maybe that.

I can't get some of my lines back to first immigrant. I've got Reheboth
Carpenter, Gould, my Perry was from CT, have an Usher, read something
about that name going way back and how it got changed. You'd think some
names that sound neat would go somewhere like Rushton, Salway, Leete,
Charde, so many like that.

My Brown in CT was Rebecca, now there is a dispute over her parentage.
My Greene line I have a Jane Hunter and a Robert White, a bunch more,
always the wrong ones. Thought my Hubbard would yield something, also
have Glidden, Stearns, Jennison, Carter, Taylor, Wheeler, Woodman,
Woodward, Mather, Lane in NC, Osgood (desc of John), Basset (mine a
nobody), too many. My patrilineal ancestor was Thomas Hurlbut of
Saybrook; that isn't going to go anywhere.

I should post my sister's husband's to see if anyone sees anything, and
I think I'm missing a lot of his. He has, and I'm doing theirs, too, a
Kilsofte who was the Prime Minister of Denmark, have no clue beyond
that. Also he has names like Elder John Strong, William Brewster (the
Mayflower one), Bardwell, Morton, Worthington, Smith, Hosford, Calkins,
Gull, Dickinson, Cooke, Foote, Westwood, Oldham.

I just can't do it all by myself any more. I still have that
tantalizing Stuart one, am going to try to get my sister to hire someone
to look into that for us. I've paid to look for some of my others that
I knew weren't that important, just wanted to find them.

Alice
