I am trying to confirm information on my great-great grandfather Alexander Kaiko. I found on the Ellis Island passenger record that he arrived in the US on 12 Apr 1905 on the ship named Potsdam. His place of residency listed is Serwony (?), Lomza. I have located Lomza on the map of Poland, so I at least know that it does exist.
I am new to genealogy research and I have finally learned the ins and outs of research in the states - now I am getting my feet wet in foreign countries. If anyone can provide any advice on how to confirm this info or how to continue, I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thank you,
Wendy
