Subject: [POLAND-ROOTS] Surnames Listing
Date: Thu, 29 Jan 1998 11:51:42 -0800

Edward SABULSKY (CEBULSKY) born Russia Poland about 1873, immigrated 1891,
lived in Carbon County, PA in 1910 later moved to McAdoo Schuylkill county,
PA. His family still lives there today.

he married

Anna (Hanna) GLEZMAN Also went by Stella GLESSENDER born Russia Poland
(possibly Galacia or Austria) 1875-1882, immigrated in 1891, lived in Carbon
County, PA in 1910 later moved to McAdoo Schuylkill county, PA. Her family
still lives there today. On her 2nd marriage record her name is listed as
Stella GLESSENDER and her parents were listed as Christian and Caroline
GLESSENDER. Her family always knew her as Anna Glezman. Most documents for
her have conflicting information. Her death record has Austria listed as
birthplace.

Can the surnames Glezman and Glessender be just different forms of the same
surname? Neither one to me has a true polish spelling.

Thanks
