My grandfather was born in Janiszewice right outside of Zdunska Wola. I know those records are kept in Lodz. But, my great grandmother was born in Chorzeszow which is 11 miles NE of Zdunska Wola. I thought it was in the same district and the records would be in Lodz BUT my mother just got home from Germany and while she was there, she went through my uncles old papers and found the document where my great grandmother fled to Germany from Poland (They were Germans living in Poland and fled around WWI time when they were forced out) This document states my grandmother was born in Chorzeszow, Kreis Lask. So are these records held in Lask?
