Do you by chance have the name of the village the family was born in?
There are quite a few villages in Poland with variations in the spelling
of Sokol~o~w and I'm having trouble placing one in Krakow diocese. Do
you have any other place names besides Wulka (which is probably spelled
Wo~lka)? Were the people from Wo~lka related to the people from
Sokol~o~w IN Poland? If they were related only because they married into
the family while in the U.S. then I'd like to know that.

The correct spelling is either Sokol~o~w, Sokol~owo, or Sokol~o~w
followed by another word. The diacritical marks are important here
because if you were to look in an alphabetical listing of towns under
Sokolow, you wouldn't find anything at all and this spelling would put
you in a different column than the places spelled Sokol~o~w.
